 The Drake Sectional by Gramercy Park is available in Austin Saddle, 100% leather. Kiln-dried hardwood frame, 8 way hand tied seating, and marshall coil cushions make a construction quality trifecta. Construction Cutaway - Features & Benefits

Frame Construction - "Premium Hardwoods" and engineered wood products are used to exacting standards for maximum structural support.  All weight bearing joints are corner blocked, stapled and glued to maintain strength.  The applied horizontal wood constructed arms give overall added strength and durability.  A reinforced solid front wood rail securely locks the arm panels into position for guaranteed strength.

Outside Frame - Engineered composite wood overlays are used to add structural support to the frame to prevent warping and to insure stability.  It is then padded with natural materials and foam to soften the profile, adding to its aesthetic beauty and extending the life of the leather.

Seating Suspension - The classical method of "Genuine 8 Way Hand Tied" coiled spring construction is used to distribute weight evenly, which responds independently for balanced comfort, durability, and longevity.

Tailoring - Craftsman skillfully "Hand Tailor" the leather upholstery so that it fits the frame like a glove.   Heavy-duty monofilament, cotton, or nitrilon thread is used to create reinforced seams for ultimate durability and longevity.

Leather - An assortment of genuine cowhide leathers with individual characterstics offers an array of aesthetic appeal and durability.  The genuine leather collection includes protected finished leathers, waxed pull up leathers, and natural finished leathers, each with their own unique qualities.

Cushions - Seat cushions are composed of 1.8 to 2.2 polyurethane and/or fiber foam cores containing Marshall coil units where applicable and triple wrapped in Dacron for the ultimate in seating comfort and durability.  Many styles utilize a loose seat cushion for ease of repair and maximum comfort.

Backs - Cushions, where applicable, consist of foam and fiber horizontally sewn into channeled bays to prevent downward drifting.

Frame Back Suspension - The well known "Pirelli Web System" used in the famed Rolls Royce and in the NASA space shuttle program in the cargo holds, is also used in the back of our products where applicable.  This industrial strength material is attached in a simple basket weave method ofa pplication, giving the right amount of tension and support to the back for longevity and comfort.
